Patriots Injury Report (Updated for Week 8 2026)

The official New England Patriots practice report for Week 8 at the Miami Dolphins, both teams, plus every player on injured reserve and when each is eligible to return.

By The Pats Digest··Updated

The New England Patriots injury report below is the official participation report the team files with the league, updated after each practice. It covers both New England and Sunday’s opponent, and is followed by every Patriots player on injured reserve or another reserve list.

New England is 4-3 and plays at the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 1, kickoff 4:25 p.m. ET at Hard Rock Stadium. Brown and Henderson missed both Thursday’s and Friday’s practices. Three players were limited Wednesday and Thursday without being listed as questionable: Morgan Moses (foot), Ben Brown (knee) and DaQuan Jones (back). Cornerbacks Carlton Davis III, Channing Canada and Karon Prunty were full participants after each missed four games this season.

New England has now filed its game statuses. Three players are questionable: A.J. Brown (knee, ankle), TreVeyon Henderson (illness) and Christian Elliss (chest). Nobody is out or doubtful, and Mike Vrabel said Friday that the team will decide on the questionable players Saturday. Miami had not posted its own game statuses when this page was last updated, so the Dolphins’ status column is still empty.

Note: New England has filed its Week 8 game statuses: A.J. Brown, TreVeyon Henderson and Christian Elliss are questionable. Miami had not filed its game statuses when this page was last updated, so the Dolphins' status column is still empty. Friday participation is shown only where it was reported: Brown and Henderson both missed Friday's practice. A dash in a participation column means the player was not on that day's report or that day's participation was not reported. A dash in the game status column means no designation, which means the player is expected to play. DNP is did not participate, LP limited, FP full.

Note: Return weeks are CBS Sports projections rather than team announcements. New England has not given a timeline for any player here. Placement dates are the team's own transaction log, except Alijah Vera-Tucker's, which is the date his injured reserve move was first reported.

A.J. Brown is questionable and the call comes Saturday. Brown was limited Wednesday and missed both Thursday and Friday with a knee issue that flared up while he worked back from the high ankle sprain that sent him to injured reserve in September. “His status is questionable, like some other players,” Mike Vrabel said Friday. “We’ll see how he comes in tomorrow and we’ll make a decision.” On Brown specifically: “Just wasn’t able to finish practice on Wednesday. So we continue to treat him and we’ll see where he is tomorrow.”

If Brown sits, New England has three healthy receivers. DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism III and Kyle Williams are the only other wide receivers on the 53-man roster, with Romeo Doubs and Mack Hollins both on injured reserve. Brown has played 101 of 122 offensive snaps since being activated, catching six passes for 75 yards in two starts.

TreVeyon Henderson is questionable with an illness. Henderson was not on Wednesday's report at all and then missed Thursday and Friday. He has 203 rushing yards, 45 receiving yards and one touchdown on 57 touches this season, and took a season-low three carries in the Week 7 loss at Chicago.

Christian Elliss is questionable despite practicing in full. Elliss has been a full participant for the past two weeks while managing a chest injury. He leads the Patriots defense with 51 tackles through seven starts, with one sack and one forced fumble.

Alijah Vera-Tucker is on injured reserve. Vera-Tucker was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, and CBS Sports projects a Week 12 return. Ben Brown, Morgan Moses and DaQuan Jones were limited Wednesday and Thursday and are not among the three players New England listed as questionable.

Miami's statuses are still to come. Kadyn Proctor was the Dolphins' only non-participant on both Wednesday and Thursday. Ten more Dolphins were limited both days, including receivers Malik Washington and Jared Wayne and tight ends Greg Dulcich and Will Kacmarek. Quarterback Malik Willis was a full participant. Miami had not posted game statuses as of Friday afternoon.
